RSAI Abstract Submission
The NARSC abstract submission function on this website closes at 5 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (United States) on August 1st, 2008. Papers must be completed and delivered to designated session participants by October 29, 2008.
To request participation to the conference as a paper presenter, the following items need to be submitted:

1. Name of authors and their affiliations
2. Title of the proposed presentation
3. Abstract

To submit an organized session (discussion panel or paper session), the following items need to be submitted:

1. Session title, description, organizers, and discussants
2. For each presentation, author(s)'s name and affiliation, title, and abstract

RSAI and SEA Conferences Registration
Conference registration is open and will remain open through the end of the conferences. However, participants are strongly encouraged to register early to facilitate the organization of the conference (and avoid late and on-site registration penalties).

RSAI Conference Registration Fee Will Include:

• Access to plenary sessions and break-out sessions
• Conference program
• Coffee/tea breaks
• Thursday reception
• Saturday luncheon

SEA Conference Registration Fee Will Include:

• Access to plenary sessions and break-out sessions
• Conference program
• Coffee/tea breaks
• Monday reception
• Tuesday dinner

Late Registration Surcharge
A $100 surcharge will be added to your registration fee if you opt to register after October 29. We strongly discourage you from registering in person at the conference venue. This year the late fee also applies to students. The surcharge helps defray costs for walk-in registration services at the conference.

Nonconference Hotel Surcharge
Note also that attendees who do not register for an overnight stay at the conference venue (Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge) incur an additional surcharge of $150. This helps defray costs charged in the event that conference organizers do not meet the conference venue’s room-night quota. (This surcharge does not apply to students or to attendees with a local business address.)

Refund Policy
For any cancellations received before September 1, 2008, NARSC will retain $50 of your registration fee to cover credit card and related handling charges. For cancellations received between September 1 and October 29, 2008, $100 of your registration fee will be retained. For students, $25 of the registration fee will be retained for cancellations through October 29, 2008. $20 of any guest reception and lunch order will be retained for cancellations until October 29, 2008.Under no circumstances will refunds be issued after 5:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on October 29, 2008. If you are unable to attend, however, you may transfer your registration to another attendee by contacting NARSC’s Executive Director, Jean-Claude Thill. Refund requests should be submitted to NARSC’s Executive Director, Jean-Claude Thill.

Registration Methods
For online registration with credit cards, we accept only Mastercard, Visa and EuroCard. To pay by check, you will need to register online in the User Area and then mail in a check with the PDF registration form that you can download in the User Area.

To register for the RSAI conference and/or the SEA conference, and/or submit an abstract for the RSAI conference you must first login to the User Area via the button that is located at the bottom left of the webpage. When you reach the login page of the User Area, you will be asked to click on a link and enter your e-mail address (username) so we can check if you are already in our database. If you attended the North American RSAI conference last year and remember your password, you are ready to proceed. If you attended an earlier North American RSAI conference, attended last year’s North American conference but forgot your username/password, or are a member of a North American regional science organization but never attended a North American Regional Science Conference, you most likely are in our database and you can visit the website to request that your username/password combination be e-mailed to you so you can login. If you are not in our database, you will need to register for a free NARSC user account and then you will be able to register for the conference and submit an abstract.
